Wellesley College in Massachusetts hosted the inaugural Women in Public Service Project (WPSP) Learning Institute in June 2012 for a period of two weeks from June 11-22 and developed a model for future Institutes. The Institute brought together 50 emerging women leaders from across the globe between the ages of 25-45 who were already serving in or aspiring to serve in different fields of public service and/or political or elected office. The Learning Institute provided a forum for shared learning and dialogue; exchange of experiences and expertise; peer-to-peer mentoring and networking; and built an important platform for cross-fertilization of knowledge and innovative leadership skills.

The Report showcases the historic WPSP Institute held at Wellesley College.  For the full report, please see the attached pdf or go to our publication page.

Council of Women World Leaders

In 2011, the Council of Women World Leaders became part of the Wilson Center at its initiative. Over time, the Council felt that it required greater independence than was possible as part of the Global Women’s Leadership Initiative at the Center. As of April 5, 2013, the Council is no longer part of the Wilson Center but looks forward to partnering with the Center on programming promoting women’s leadership. The Council thanks the Wilson Center for its continued commitment to global women’s leadership.
