A recent meeting of political party leaders, sponsored by the Africa Program's Burundi Leadership Training Program (BLTP) drew the attention of the official Burundi Press Agency (ABP).

The meeting, sponsored by DFID and USAID's Office of Transition Initiatives brought together leaders of Burundi's political parties in order to discuss the challenges facing the nation during the upcoming elections.

The workshop described in the December 16th bulletin convened as a follow-on meeting to a six-day retreat for leaders from 31 of Burundi's 33 political parties.
