CWIHP Program Associate Mircea Munteanu to present at NKVD/KGB conference in Prague

CWIHP Program Associate Mircea Munteanu will present a paper on the Mitrokhin Archive and KGB activities in Afghanistan and Iran at the international conference "NKVD/KGB Activities and its Cooperation with other Secret Services in Central and Eastern Europe 1945-1989, II" to be held in Prague from 19-21 November 2008.

Organized by the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes (CZ), Institute of National Remembrance (Poland), and the Institute of Historical Studies of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (Slovakia), the conference aims to shed light on the relationships between and among communist bloc intelligence services during the Cold War.
