CWIHP welcomes new ECNU Scholar Youzhen Xu

CWIHP is pleased to announce new ECNU Scholar Youzhen Xu. Her project while at the center is entited "Behind the Deadlock: The U.S., the PRC, the U.K. and the Issue of the POWs during the Korean War." Youzhen will be in residence from December 2011 - March 2012.

CWIHP is pleased to announce new ECNU Scholar Youzhen Xu. Her project while at the center is entited "Behind the Deadlock: The U.S., the PRC, the U.K. and the Issue of the POWs during the Korean War." Youzhen will be in residence from December 2011 - March 2012.

Youzhen Xu is professor and vice dean in the School of History at Wuhan University in China. Her research interests include WWII and Cold War history with a focus on the triangular relations between the U.S., the U.K. and the PRC. Youzhen is the author of numerous publications including Controversy and Coordination: The Issue of Recognizing P.R.China Between the United States and the United Kingdom, 1949-1951 (Wuhan University Press, 2007, Vol.6)  and Chinese DiplomacySeries:DeclassifiedArchives ofAmerican Intelligence Estimate of P.R China(15 Volumes, Shanghai: East Press Group, 2009).
