"Gulag: Many Days, Many Lives" Online Resource Center Launched

The Kennan Institute is pleased to announce the launch of "Gulag: Many Days, Many Lives," an online resource on Gulag history produced by the Center for History and New Media at George Mason University.

The Kennan Institute is pleased to announce the launch of an important online resource on the history of the Soviet Gulag titled "Gulag: Many Days, Many Lives" at George Mason University's Center for History and New Media. The project is produced in cooperation with the Gulag Museum at Perm-36 and the International Memorial Society in Moscow. Financial support for this new resource comes from the Kennan Institute, the Title VIII program at the U.S. Department of State, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University.

Project Director and Lead Historian Steven A. Barnes is assistant professor of history at George Mason University and is a former Title VIII-Supported Resarch Scholar at the Kennan Institute.
