Kennan Institute Announces 2012 Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Awards Dinner and Awardees

The Kennan Institute is pleased to announce the 2012 Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Awards Dinner on December 6, 2012 in Washington, DC. This annual event recognizes individuals demonstrating outstanding and enlightened corporate citizenship and public service in connection with the U.S.-Russian relationship, and is the premier Washington event dedicated to this purpose. The event is a benefit for the Woodrow Wilson Center’s Kennan Institute, a national resource for Russian studies in the United States.

The Kennan Institute is pleased to announce the 2012 Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Awards Dinner on December 6, 2012 in Washington, DC.

This annual event recognizes individuals demonstrating outstanding and enlightened corporate citizenship and public service in connection with the U.S.-Russian relationship, and is the premier Washington event dedicated to this purpose. The event is a benefit for the Woodrow Wilson Center’s Kennan Institute, a national resource for Russian studies in the United States.

This year, John Faraci will receive the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporate Citizenship for his leadership at International Paper and the formation of Ilim Group, one of the largest U.S.-Russian joint ventures with over 20,000 employees in the Russian Federation. Vartan Gregorian will be awarded the Woodrow Wilson Award for Public Service in recognition of his many contributions to improving U.S. understanding of Russia and his long-term support for Russian education at Carnegie Corporation of New York.
