Andrew Selee, Director of the Mexico Institute at the Woodrow Wilson Center, has been featured in the Mexican newspaper "El Diario de Yucatán".

The article covered the recent visit by Genaro García Luna, the Secretary of Public Security for Mexico to the Woodrow Wilson Center on January 11th, 2012. García Luna presented his book 'Un Nuevo Modelo de Seguridad para México' during his visit to the Wilson Center.

Nuevo Modelo de Seguridad para México' el próximo 11 de enero, anunció hoy el Instituto México del Centro Woodrow Wilson de Washington. García Luna, quien asumió el cargo en diciembre de 2006, fue descrito por los organizadores del foro como el funcionario que supervisó la 'dramática transformación' de la fuerza policial federal de México.

'Antes sirvió como jefe de la Agencia Federal de Investigaciones (AFI) donde contribuyó a la expansión y profesionalización de la agencia', señala la invitación al foro. Por separado el Centro Woodrow Wilson organiza dos días después el foro 'México Hoy' en el que participarán el presidente de CIDAC, Luis Rubio, el economista mexicano Luis De la Calle y el profesor y conductor radial Leonardo Curzio.

El Instituto México del Centro Woodrow Wilson, que dirige Andrew Selee, ha realizado sucesivos foros de análisis sobre la situación mexicana que han incluido la participación reciente de Josefina Vázquez Mora, Andrés Manuel López Obrador y Javier Sicilia, entre otros.
