New Issue of Wilson Quarterly Focuses on Afghanistan

The Spring 2014 issue of the Wilson Quarterly was recently released.  The online publication's newest issue focuses on Afghanistan, offering "a look at the lives changed, promises made, and ideas shaped by war in Afghanistan."

The featured article, "A Return to the Dark" was written by Asia Program Global Fellow Christina Lamb.  Lamb explores the stories of Afghan women who have been affected by the war, and the prospects they face as Western troops withdraw from their country.

Senior Program Associate for South Asia Michael Kugelman contributed "Afghanistan's Illusion of Hope," a look back at the recent election and the danger of getting carried away with a positive message in a difficult time.

The issue also features an interactive timeline of the war in Afghanistan, and the short documentary "Strides During Strife."  Learn more at their website, http://wilsonquarterly.com/.
