New Website Highlights Environment, Conflict, Cooperation Connection

Platform Builds Networks to Promote Sustainable Development, Peace

Nov 02, 2005

ECC-platform, a new website launched by Adelphi Research and Germanwatch, is a clearing house for information on environment, conflict, and cooperation. It focuses on the ways in which environmental degradation and resource scarcity lead to conflict, and also how environmental cooperation and sustainable development can contribute to peace and stability. Providing information, publications, events, experts, and other resources, ECC-platform fosters sustainable peace by building networks of stakeholders from the development, economic, environment, foreign, and security communities worldwide.

Adelphi Research frequently collaborates with ECSP on research endeavors, including the Environment, Development, and Sustainable Peace Initiative and UNEP's Environment and Conflict Prevention Initiative.
