OAS Roundtable to Discuss Contribution of Academics to the Design of Public Policies on International Relations

Cynthia Arnson Director of the Latin American Program moderated a panel discussion at the 62nd Policy Roundtable of the Organization of American States. The discussion focused on recommendations drawn from the book by Public Policy Scholar Abraham F. Lowenthal and Mariano E. Bertucci on the dynamics between academics and public policy makers in the area of international relations.

The event will feature welcoming remarks by the OAS Secretary for Political Affairs, Kevin Casas-Zamora, followed by an introduction and contextualization of the subject by Secretary General José Miguel Insulza. The book "Scholars, Policymakers and International Affairs: Finding Common Cause" will be presented by Abraham Lowenthal, Professor of International Relations at the University of Southern California.
