It is estimated that China's foreign direct investment (FDI) worldwide may top $1 trillion by 2020. As its second largest trading partner, the United States is expected to be a prime destination for this massive influx of capital. Is Chinese FDI in America a good thing? Or does it pose a threat to the United States, and if so, why? Our speakers, Daniel H. Rosen from The Rhodium Group and Derek Scissors from The Heritage Foundation, (both leading experts on the Chinese economy), debated these critical and timely issues.
