Over the past few months, Mexico’s PAN (Partido Acción Nacional) party has emerged as the pivotal ally for President Enrique Peña Nieto’s PRI (Partido Revolucionario Institucional) government. In December 2013 it was the PAN which supported the government’s constitutional reform of the energy sector. The leader of the PAN, Gustavo Madero, was instrumental in not only achieving that consensus, but in shaping the legislation itself. His presentation at the Wilson Center will focus on Mexico’s latest changes and most pressing challenges.

Please note that the discussion will be in Spanish. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
