Speaker: Ahmad El Assaad, Founder and Chairman, the Lebanese Option Gathering

Ahmad El Assaad, chairman of the Lebanese Option Gathering (LOG), a new Shiite party, will argue that the only road in Lebanon is through a strong coalition of independent Shia who can articulate an alternative non-violent vision to the public. Assaad will explain how this new path to freedom and democracy will be achieved and the role the United States and other countries need to play to achieve stability in Lebanon and the region.
