Full Biography
NARGIS SETHI is Pakistan’s secretary for water and power. She has been a member of Pakistan’s civil service for more than 30 years, and her previous appointments include cabinet secretary, secretary for the Economic Affairs Division, health secretary, defense secretary, and principal secretary to the prime minister (she is the first woman to hold the latter two posts). Her portfolios have ranged from terrorism, democracy, and devolution to economic growth, energy, and emergency preparedness.
