Choi Jinwook is a senior fellow and director of Center for North Korean Studies at the Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU), which he joined in 1993. His research interest includes North Korean politics and public administration, and unification policy. His current research focuses on party-military relationship in North Korea and U.S.-North Korea relations. Dr. Choi is the author and editor of five books, more than 20 research monographs and more than 60 book chapters and articles. His most recent publication is Korean Unification and the Neighboring Powers (ed.) (Seoul: Neulpum, 2010). Dr. Choi received his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Cincinnati in 1992. He was born in 1959 in Seoul.
