Project Summary

Examines the mid-1990s as a decisive perdio in the reshaping of identities in the former Soviet empire. Studies the heterogeneous trends in the field in order to outline policy implications for Russia. Analyzes the interrelations between individual human rights and group rights of ethnic minorties; the current status of human rights and ethnic minority rights; and the most promising fields for cooperation between Russia and the USA.
