Michishita Narushige is currently the director of and associate professor in the security and international studies program at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Tokyo, Japan. Prior to teaching, Narushige worked as a senior research fellow at the National Institute for Defense Studies in the Japanese Ministry of Defense as well as Deputy Director of the Bureau of Defense of Policy. Narushige holds a Ph.D. in international relations from Johns Hopkins University.
