Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos received the Wilson Center’s prestigious Award for Public Service in New York City on September 24, 2013, presented at a dinner co-hosted by the Colombian-American Association. Santos was honored for his commitment to serving the public good by fostering democracy, security, and peace in Colombia.
