Blue Planet Run Enters China

At 3:00 am, the 20 runners from the Blue Planet Run Foundation, crossed from Mongolia into China. These 20 have been relaying around the clock since the 1st of June, when they departed from New York City. The run will end when the team has run all around the world and arrives in New York on September 3.

The goal of the run is to increase awareness of the extent of water scarcity and contamination all over the world. The foundation raises money to support sustainable water projects by NGOs, boasting 165 world wide. It has also started a program called the "Peer Water Exchange," an online forum where NGOs work together to organize and monitor each other's projects.
