Call for Applications: FOIA Workshop

The Program on Conducting Archival Research (POCAR) at the George Washington University's University's Institute for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (IERES) is pleased to announce a FOIA workshop for Ph.D. students working on dissertations involving archival research on topics related to modern history and international relations.

The 5 December 2008 session will offer a unique opportunity for graduate students to learn the fundamentals of the Freedom of Information Act and how to use it.

Applicants must submit the application form, a two-page proposal indicating how they would benefit from participation in the FOIA Workshop, and a CV.

The deadline for applications is October 30, 2008.

George Washington University will cover over-night accommodation costs where necessary and subsidized travel may be available for successful applicants.
