CEF Speaker Releases New Report on China's Future Carbon Emissions

APRIL 2009 -- Former CEF speaker Jim Watson in conjunction with the Sussex Energy Group and the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research released a report on China's carbon emissions.

Former CEF speaker Jim Watson and coauthor Tao Wang published a new report regarding China's future carbon emissions titled "China's Energy Transition: Pathways for Low Carbon Development. At a July 2008 China Environment Forum meeting, Jim Watson challenged the idea that emissions should be measured by political boundaries because much of China's greenhouse gas emissions--now surpassing those of the United States--are greatly attributable to trade.
