Latin American Program Director Cynthia J. Arnson discusses issues Colombia's next leader should address.

With the Colombian presidential elections set to take place on May 30, 2010, recent trends in Colombian public opinion show large vulnerabilities for the ruling coalition. Regardless of who wins the presidency, the polls show strong dissatisfaction with several areas of economic performance and ‘good governance' that should figure prominently on the agenda of the next administration.
