Geographic Concentration of Critical Minerals Reserves and Processing

The Wilson Center’s recent report, The Mosaic Approach, identified  the geographic concentration of critical minerals as a significant challenge to both the supply chain, and to U.S. geopolitical and climate ambitions. The following map illustrates the geographic concentration of reserves and processing for five critical minerals: cobalt, copper, lithium, nickel, and rare earth elements.
