La Embajada de Honduras en Estados Unidos realizó esta semana una ceremonia protocolaria para despedir al Embajador Jorge Ramón Hernández Alcerro de Washington. El Embajador Hernández encabezó esta embajada por los últimos cuatro años y recientemente fue juramentado por el Presidente de la República, Juan Orlando Hernández, como Secretario de Estado Coordinador General de Gobierno de Honduras.  La ceremonia inició con la Condecoración de la Orden “Jose Cecilio de Valle” en el Grado de “Gran Cruz de Plata” al Centro Internacional Woodrow Wilson para Académicos (Woodrow Wilson Center for Scholars) y del Dialogo Interamericano (Inter-American Dialogue).  [...]  On March 27, 2014, the Latin American Program and the Woodrow Wilson Center were awarded the decoration of La Orden "José Cecilio del Valle" in the degree of "Gran Cruz de Plata" by the Government of the Republic of Honduras. La Orden "José Cecilio del Valle" is meant to signify the recognition of Honduras to Hondurans who have honored their homeland and to foreigners and institutions whose actions have been aimed at promoting peace and international solidarity and who have provided distinguished service to the Republic of Honduras.  The degree of "Gran Cruz Placa de Plata" is the highest decoration that the Government of Honduras awards to groups of people and institutions.  To read the press release from the Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores y Cooperación Internacional of Honduras, click here. This article is in Spanish.
