“Él ha tomado un gran interés sobre América Latina y es un participante con un razonamiento muy cuidadoso en el debate por la política exterior”, dijo Cynthia J. Arnson, directora del Programa de América Latina del Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.

“Si estos informes [sobre la suspensión de la reunión] son ciertos, es un curso de acción muy estúpido de adoptar para el gobierno venezolano”, comentó Arnson, al resaltar la frecuente disposición de Corker es escuchar primero todas las partes antes de sacar sus propias conclusiones.

“Y darle este tipo de trato [al Senador] no va a ayudar si el gobierno venezolano está realmente interesado en mejorar las relaciones con Estados Unidos”, añadió.
