New Publications by CWIHP Senior Scholar A. Ross Johnson

A study by CWIHP Senior Scholar A. Ross Johnson on the role of Radio Free Europe in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 (available here in English), which was originally published by the Wilson Center, has recently been translated into Hungarian and published by the journal Aetas (Szeged), Vol. 22, No. 2, 2007. The Hoover Institution has also published a shorter version of the paper in its Hoover Digest.

Dr. Johnson is a CWIHO senior scholar, a research fellow at the Hoover Institution, an adviser to the Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) Project at the Hoover Archives, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Freedom Broadcasting Foundation (Washington) and the Institute of Transnational Studies (Munich). He served earlier as director of Radio Free Europe, director of the RFE/RL Research Institute, and acting president and counselor of RFE/RL.
