Eduardo Rivera Pérez

Eduardo Rivera Pérez is the Frente Amplio por Puebla (part of the nationwide coalition Frente Amplio por México) candidate for the governorship of Puebla. Born in 1972 in the state of Mexico, he holds a degree in Political Science from the Universidad Popular Autónoma de Puebla (UPAEP) and a master's degree in Public Management from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. 

Eduardo joined the Partido Acción Nacional (PAN)  when he was 19 years old and served on different steering committees in Puebla. He served as a federal deputy representing the PAN from 2000 until 2003. At the end of his legislative term, he returned to Puebla to occupy the state presidency of the party until 2006. Rivera served as a local deputy from 2008 until 2011, and from 2011 until 2015, he served as the municipal president of the city of Puebla. In 2016, Rivera coordinated the PAN gubernatorial campaign in Quintana Roo. A year later, he worked on the PAN’s campaign for the gubernatorial election in the state of Mexico. Rivera was reelected Municipal President of Puebla City in 2021.
