The Russian software outsourcing industry is emerging as a significant part of the world outsourcing industry, with estimated revenue of $1 billion in 2005. Distinguished by its private entrepreneurial origins, the Russian outsourcing industry is one of the few sectors of the Russian economy, other than energy or raw material exports, that is competitive in world markets. The presentation will examine the past, present and future of this industry, as an indicator of entrepreneurial technological development in Russia
