Overview

EnviReform and the Munk Centre for International Studies at the University of Toronto will host the third annual EnviReform conference in Toronto on November 8, 2002. EnviReform analyzes the social and environmental impacts of existing trade liberalization through the World Trade Organization, North American Free Trade Agreement and other regimes, and explores new strategies for regulation and risk assessment, environmental information, standard-setting, voluntary activities, sustainability assessments of trade agreements, and participation by civil society in international trade, finance and environmental institutions.The November 8th conference will feature analysis and discussion based on academic papers on a variety of related topics. Location: 4th Floor Conference Room, One Woodrow Wilson Plaza, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue NW (Federal Triangle stop on Blue/Orange Line).
