Goliat

Project Description

Goliat will be the first offshore oil field to come on stream in the Norwegian part of the Barents Sea. The Sevan 1000 floating unit, better known as Goliat, is a 64,000-tonne platform, 107 metres in diameter, with 14 anchor lines and a 100,000 b/d production capacity. The Goliat platform is the world’s largest and most sophisticated cylindrical Floating Production Storage and Offloading unit (FPSO). The semi-submersible transport ship Dockwise Vanguard was used to transport it from Korea to the Barents Sea.
