Umeå road projects

NCC has signed a contract with the Swedish Transport Administration to widen the European route E12 as part of the new ring road around Umeå. The assignment includes building ten bridges and laying seven kilometers of new road. The order value is approximately SEK 400 million. The project involves NCC laying seven kilometers of new road, ten bridges – of which four are rail bridges – and two interchanges. The volumes of earth and stone that will be generated will used as much as possible in the project. Construction work will start in March 2019 and is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2021.
