    Full Biography

    Myadah Kaila is currently an International Programs Coordinator at Islamic Relief USA, where she contributes to strategic development and focuses on providing international emergency relief and development programming across East Africa. She manages a multi-million dollar grants portfolio, supporting communities in Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, Somalia, and South Sudan.

    Prior to this role, Myadah served as a Program Analyst at the CDC Foundation, overseeing public health programming with extensive subject matter knowledge in areas such as COVID-19, HIV, Sexual & Reproductive Health, and Maternal & Child Health. Her experience also includes serving as a Peace Corps Health Extension Agent, where she managed and implemented PEPFAR and USAID funded community education grant projects in Zambia.

    Myadah's passion for humanitarianism and international development work is deeply rooted in her background and experiences. Growing up as a Sudanese immigrant and working in the field in Zambia have fueled her commitment to improving the livelihoods of marginalized communities.

    She holds a Master of Public Health degree from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University and a Bachelor's degree from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University at Buffalo. Myadah is fluent in both Arabic and English, enabling her to connect with diverse communities effectively.

    With a deep dedication to humanism and international development, Myadah Kaila hopes to continue making an impact in the African region, focusing on the most vulnerable populations.
