Todd Gloria

Todd Gloria is the 37th Mayor of the city of San Diego, California. Gloria assumed office in December, 2020. A third-generation San Diegan of Filipino, Dutch, Puerto Rican, and Native American descent, he is the first person of color to serve as the city's mayor. He is also the first openly gay person to serve in this office. Mayor Gloria began his career of public service in 2008 when he was elected to San Diego's City Council. In 2016 he was elected to the California State Assembly, eventually serving as Majority Whip. Gloria is a graduate of the University of San Diego.
