On October 27, 2004, General Lamine Cisse, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Senegal and current Representative of the U.N. Secretary General in the Central African Republic delivered a presentation on the relationship between economic and security integration in West Africa, and commented on some of the greatest challenges facing the region.
