On 21 August, Turkey's Prime Minister and President-elect Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the AK Party executive board's decision nominate Ahment Davutoğlu to succeed him as the leader of the party. In a few days, we will see Davutoğlu chosen as the leader of AK Party and the Prime Minister, but it will be a matter of time before his performance in this post can be assessed.
