Infographic | Ten Years Without Boris Nemtsov

Last Thursday, February 27, 2025, marked ten years since the assassination of Boris Nemtsov, a prominent Russian politician and opposition leader. A vocal critic of Vladimir Putin, Nemtsov condemned Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea and the war in Donbas. He was gunned down a few steps away from the Kremlin, and his death became a turning point in the Putin regime’s crackdown on opposition and dissent in the country. Ten years after, Nemtsov’s legacy lives on and he remains the symbol of the Russian society’s fight for freedom and democracy.
