Law Day 2016 – Miranda: More Than Words

The Miranda ruling is likely the most iconic legal decision in US history. It’s been 50 years since Miranda v. Arizona, and to commemorate the anniversary, the American Bar Association’s Law Day theme focused on the landmark case. Many believe that its protections have been weakened by subsequent rulings and that understanding of its meaning is superficial, driven mainly by popular culture portrayals. An expert panel discussed the status of current Miranda during the annual ABA Leon Jaworski Public Program conducted at the Wilson Center.
