Beyond the Border Action Plan
The Beyond the Border Action Plan sets out joint priorities for achieving a new long-term security partnership in four key areas, of addressing threats early; promoting trade facilitation, economic growth, and jobs; strengthening cross-border law enforcement; and protecting shared critical infrastructure, including enhancing continental and global cybersecurity, guided by mutual respect for sovereignty and our separate constitutional and legal frameworks that protect individual privacy.

Regulatory Cooperation Council Action Plan
The United States and Canada intend to eliminate unnecessary burdens on cross-border trade, by coordinating, simplifying, and ensuring where possible the compatibility of regulations, specifically focusing on agriculture and food; transportation; health, personal care products, and workplace chemicals; and environmental regulations.
Canada Institute
The mission of the Wilson Center's Canada Institute is to raise the level of knowledge of Canada in the United States, particularly within the Washington, DC policy community. Research projects, initiatives, podcasts, and publications cover contemporary Canada, US-Canadian relations, North American political economy, and Canada's global role as it intersects with US national interests.
