Overview

Join the Wilson Center Africa Program to commemorate the release of its Africa: Year in Review publication on February 8, 2024, from 10:00 am-11:30 am ET.

Every year, the Wilson Center Africa Program partners with policymakers, practitioners, scholars, and African experts to publish a series of short essays on the most impactful developments across the African continent, in US-Africa relations, and on Africa’s role and future in the global arena over the past year. This edition is our largest to date, with over 40 cross-cutting contributions.

The event will examine the key successes and challenges highlighted in the publication and engage policymakers and experts on the year ahead. Our featured panelists will discuss a wide range of topics in the governance, security, development, and social spheres, including democracy and elections, trade, regional conflicts and coups, and climate change.

We invite you to join us as we look back at the last year and discuss what is in store for US-Africa relations in 2024.
