Discussion with Prosecutor General Luis Eduardo Montealegre

The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars' Latin American Program hosted a discussion with The Honorable Luis Eduardo Montealegre, Prosecutor General, Republic of Colombia.

Upon assuming the position of Prosecutor General in 2012, Luis Eduardo Montealegre pledged to strengthen human rights protections in Colombia and to fight impunity. 

Prosecutor General Montealegre, a former justice and president of Colombia’s Constitutional Court, discussed a broad range of issues important to the U.S.-Colombian relationship and to judicial strengthening in Colombia, the fight against impunity, corruption and criminal activity.
