Electricity Market Reforms in Ukraine: Challenges and Opportunities
As part of a nationwide series of reforms, Ukraine has introduced a new law reforming its electricity market. This law provides an opportunity to synchronize the Ukrainian energy system with the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) and integrate Ukraine within the European market. This panel addressed these questions and discussed the findings of the new report “Electricity Market Reforms in Ukraine: Challenges and Opportunities,” which provides assessments of both the hypothetical success and failure of electricity market reform in Ukraine.
