Media Briefing: G8 Meeting in Northern Ireland
President Obama will travel to Northern Ireland and Germany on June 17 for the G8 meetings and bilateral meetings with German Prime Minister Angela Merkel. The agenda for the G8 meetings is set to include discussion of international trade - around new and proposed agreements like the TPP and EU-US free trade agreement – taxes, and transparency issues. The appropriate style of Western intervention in Syria is also expected to come up.
