Scenarios for Post-Putin Russia

Russia’s ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine demonstrates that the Putin regime is not interested in lasting peace between Russia and its neighbors, and a true resolution to the conflict will depend on significant change in Russian governance. At this Kennan Institute roundtable event, participants discussed Russian political opposition, economic transition, and human rights issues in the context of different future scenarios, as well as practical steps to facilitate change.
