The 2019 Journalists' Guide to Energy and Environment

This month, the battle over environment and energy policy is poised to take a sharp turn as Democrats regain control of the House. On January 25, please join top environment and energy reporters from the Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ) for a look ahead at the year's biggest stories in the field. SEJ Board of Directors member Jeff Burnside will present the "Journalists' Guide to Energy and the Environment" with leads, tips and background on the big issues making headlines in 2019.  The 7th edition of this annual event will feature panelists from The New York Times, The Washington Post, Associated Press, Politico, E&E News, and more, for a lively discussion.

A reception generously sponsored by The Wilderness Society, The Nature Conservancy, and Environment America will follow.  

For the last six years, the Society of Environmental Journalists and the Wilson Center have hosted the only annual event in the nation's capital featuring top journalists offering their predictions for the year ahead on environment and energy. Since 2013, more than 35 reporters from The New York Times, The Washington Post, National Geographic, Politico, Associated Press, The Wall Street Journal and many more have shared their observations with thousands of policymakers, journalists, and business leaders in Washington, DC, and around the world. Always streamed live and always standing room only, this event is essential for anyone working to meet the critical energy and environment challenges facing our nation and the world.
