As part of the Center’s efforts to foster informed dialogue on North America, this event will convene experts and stakeholders to examine the upcoming 2026 review of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) in the context of recent U.S. elections, with insights into the perspectives and priorities shaping the path forward across all three countries. In this session, experts will provide a detailed update on the USMCA review’s progress, including key developments in Mexico, Canada, and evolving congressional dynamics in the United States. The panel will discuss the potential impacts of recent electoral outcomes on the review process and collaborate on establishing initial “rules of engagement” to ensure a constructive, balanced approach to the 2026 review.
