The Way Ahead to Secure Taiwan’s Resilience

As President-Elect Lai Ching-te prepares to take office on May 20th, Taiwan is facing unprecedented challenges to secure its political and economic future. As pressure from Beijing to undermine Taiwan’s stability continues to mount, the adversity that Taipei is facing is increasingly seen as a challenge to the Indo-Pacific region at large.

Join us for a conversation between TECRO Representative in the United States Tah-Ray Yui and former US Deputy Secretary of State Ambassador John Negroponte to discuss the outlook for US-Taiwan relations under the Lai presidency.

This was followed by a panel discussion on US interests in Taiwan and prospects for maintaining stability in the Taiwan Strait and beyond.
