Pablo Lemus Navarro

Pablo Lemus Navarro is the Movimiento Ciudadano (MC) candidate for the governorship of Jalisco. Born and raised in Guadalajara, Lemus began his career as a businessman, leading the family’s business, Musical Lemus. From 2008 until 2011, Lemus served as the director of COPARMEX (Confederación Patronal de la República Mexicana, Mexican Employers' Association) Jalisco, leading various initiatives to increase political participation among citizens and decrease corruption. He also worked as a television and radio host. In 2015, MC selected Lemus as the party’s candidate for the municipal presidency of Zapopan. Lemus won the election, receiving 10% more votes than his PRI competitor. He was reelected for a second term in 2018. In 2021, Lemus became MC’s candidate for the Guadalajara mayoral race after MC’s original candidate, Ismael del Toro Castro, dropped out of the race. Lemus won the election with 257,000 votes
