Full Biography
Anne Gueguen previously served at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs via the Concours d'Orient exams (Arabic), as a specialist on the Arab World and the United Nations Central Administration, Middle East, and North Africa Directorate from 1994 to 1997. She was also the Second Secretary in Cairo, 1997-2000 and the First Secretary at the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations in New York, 2000-2004 Central Administration, Middle East and North Africa Director, 2004-2006. Seconded to the United Nations (Secretariat) in New York as charge de mission (successively at the Al-Qaeda/Taliban monitoring team, at the Private Office of the Deputy Secretary-General for Political Affairs, and at the Middle East-Western Asia Division), 2006-2013, First Counsellor ni Tunis, 2013-2016, policy coordinator at the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations in New York, 2016- 2017, Deputy Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations in New York, 2017-2020, Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry for European and Foreign Affairs, September 2020 - October 2021, Central Administration, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Directorate, since October 2021.
