Anton Lungu

Anton Lungu is currently serving as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova to the United States of America. He is a career diplomat with an experience of more than 15 years in the Republic of Moldova’s foreign service. During his service he has acquire expertise on EU affairs, neighborhood and enlargement policies of the EU, economic diplomacy, Eastern Europe, trans-atlantic relations. Prior to his post to Washington DC, he has held the position of Head of Division for Economic and Sectorial Cooperation with EU, exercising the function of Head of European Integration Directorate during the period of application and granting to Moldova of the EU candidate status. He has also served abroad in the Moldova’s Mission to the European Union and Ukraine. His academic background includes a master’s degree in International and Institutional Law from the Free International University of Moldova and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova. He also holds a bachelor degree in International Economic Relations from the same institution.
