Full Biography
Atim Mbah Patience is the founder of Green Farmlands, a community-based organization in Cameroon working with rural communities to improve their livelihood and household income through new, improved and adaptable agricultural practices. Her most successful project, Adopt A Garden works with orphanages to build their capacity by providing them with the knowledge and resources needed to grow their own gardens and be food secured throughout the year. Ms. Mbah is a 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow under the Civic Leadership Track and an Australia Africa Awardee where she studied Agribusiness Value Chain at the University of Queensland. In collaboration with Appalachian State University and Happy Mother, Happy Child, she recently completed a nine-day Capacity Building Workshop on Grant Writing and Project Management for NGO leaders in Cameroon. Ms. Mbah is currently taking a Masters in Sustainable Food Systems at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
